The Board of Directors

This is a five-member team of dynamic and motivated people who are responsible for the overall governance of ODF. They meet periodically to strategize, drive and direct the Obaapa Development Foundation to make it a household name and the prime mover of empowerment of women and children in Ghana and abroad. The Board reserves formal decision-making authority in the area of planning, budgeting, and setting priorities for future direction. Drawing from their combined experience in education, civil and public service, private practice, business, and non-governmental sectors, the Board formulate policies for ODF and also direct the implementation of different projects. Our Board of Directors includes the following persons:

Dr. Fara Awindor (Senior Lecturer, National Film & Television Institute)

Nanahemaa Adwoa Awindor (Founder of ODF, CEO of Premier Prods Gp)

 

The Advisory Board

These are professionals in their various fields of endeavors who are responsible for providing specialist advice to the Board of Directors and the Executive Director.  The main role of the advisory board is to provide valuable assistance, guidance, and expertise to the Board.

 

  1. MANAGEMENT TEAM

The Executive Director (Exec. Dir.)

The Exec. Dir. is the head of the administrative office of ODF who plays a management role and is generally responsible for the day-to-day operation of the office. It is recognized that the Exec. Dir. has a role to play in governance through the provision of information to the Board, supporting and advising the Board. Therefore, the Exec. Dir. is a member of the Board of Directors. Management is the primary role of the Exec. Dir. They appoint the CEO to act on its behalf, lead and manage the administrative office.

Staff Members

The staff is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of Obaapa Development Foundation’s programs, projects and activities. The staff is up made of the CEO, Director of Operations, Project team, Accounts, Administrative team, and Media and IT team. All staff report to the CEO who in turn reports to the Board of Directors. 

Volunteers and Regional Coordinators

These are a group of professional young men and women, traditional and civil leaders who contribute their time and energies advancing the course of ODF and by extension women and children. They are made of our Unity and Advocacy Queens, Sixteen Regional Coordinators representing all the regions in Ghana, student Volunteers and Support Team.
