The Obaapa Development Foundation (ODF), in partnership with Oyerepa TV, the Kwaso Easter Planning Committee, and Kwaso Ahenfie, organized the Obaapa Women & Children’s Day Celebration during the Ejisu Kwaso Easter Homecoming.

The event brought together about 800 participants (60% women, 20% men, 20% children) for advocacy and education on key social issues, including sexual and reproductive health rights, teenage pregnancy, menstrual hygiene, child marriage prevention, and positive parenting.

Interactive discussions and a Q&A session created an open space for sharing knowledge and promoting community empowerment.

ODF expressed deep appreciation to the Kwaso Development Association, Oyerepa TV, and the many traditional leaders who supported the event, notably Nana Yaa Asantewaa (Ejisu Manhemaa), Nana Osei Fosu Adutwum (Kwasohene), and others from across Ghana and beyond.

The foundation emphasized the need for continuous intergenerational dialogue beyond festive occasions to sustain awareness and development.
